BIA Dollar Program

BIA Dollar Program:

The Clinton and Central Huron BIA is currently working on a “BIA Dollar” program to entice people to shop downtown Clinton, however this initiative is not completely ready to launch. In the mean time we would like to begin the program with “Event Dollars”. We have a few events on the horizon and instead of giving out cash prizes or asking for more donations we thought we would start implementing the BIA Event Dollar Program. This will allow winners to buy what they need/want and ensures the money stays within Central Huron.

How it works:

The below “BIA Dollar” will be documented and issued to the winners. On the back of each Dollar will be a list of participating businesses. The Dollars are in $10 increments. The patron buys something at your store and pays with the Dollar. There is no cash value for these dollars therefore the patron is responsible for supplementing the total and they do not receive cash back.

Getting your Money:

If your store collects a BIA Dollar please stamp or sign the back of the Dollar with your business name. You are welcome to bring your Dollars to our next BIA meeting, the 2nd Tuesday of every month 6pm at the Central Huron Fire Hall, or hand them in at the Town Hall, attention BIA. Your business will be issued the reimbursement of those Dollars. These reimbursements will be calculated and distributed once a month after the BIA meeting. Your cheque will come from the Municipality of Central Huron.

Current Event Dollars – BIA Event Dollars will be issued for the following events: Scarecrow Festival, REACH Selfie Contest, Christmas Stuff the Stocking Campaign
