Thursday Tunes

Libro Community Hall in Clinton from Fall - Spring

What is Thursday Tunes?

Thursday Tunes is a seasonal, weekly program held on Thursday afternoons in Clinton. Volunteer musicians play live music for attendees to dance to. New dancers and musicians are always welcome, no matter your skill level or experience! Entry is free, but donations are encouraged to help provide coffee and snacks each week. At the end of the year, the donations are given to a community cause.

Thursday Tunes is currently held every Thursday afternoon from 1-3:30pm at the Libro Community Hall in the Clinton Arena. The program’s season ends on May 25th and will restart on September 14th, 2023 after the summer hiatus.

Thursday Tunes in the Community

Thursday Tunes holds a community picnic every summer, and the musicians often play at other events in Clinton, such as Mayor’s Mingle in 2022. Donations collected throughout the dancing season go towards programs that support youth in our area.

Recently, Thursday Tunes donated $2500 to nutrition programs at Hullett Public School, St. Joseph’s Catholic School, St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School, Clinton Public School, Central Huron Secondary School, Huron Christian School, and Cornerstone Schoolhouse. Clinton Public School sent many handmade thank you cards in response, which were displayed at a Thursday Tunes dance for attendees to enjoy. All of the schools expressed gratitude and said the nutrition programs were much needed. Thursday Tunes has an amazing impact, not only on its attendees but on the community as a whole!
